Goods Worth Millions Of Naira Lost As Fire Burn Down Kolokolo Market In Delta; Traders Call For Help


There was a fire outbreak at Kolokolo Market in the early hours on Tuesday 29th July, 2025 at about 1:30am Mid- Night where goods worth millions of naira were lost in the incident.
While inspecting the incident, Austin Achojanure, Ambrose Omorogie and Happy Amere – Chairman, PRO and the eye of Owghuvie in Kolokolo Quarter, in Enerhen Community respectively expressed sadness for the level of destruction of goods and infrastructures at the market.

However, the leadership of the Kolokolo Quarter of Enerhen community in Uvwie LGA thanked God for there was no life lost in the fire inferno and appealed to the victims to be calm as their pleas will be conveyed to the appropriate authorities.

Speaking to newsmen on behalf of the victims, Mrs. Charity Morere said the traders in the market lost all their goods to the fire incident. She called on Uvwie LG Council Chairman, Delta State Government, Federal Government and all spirited Nigerians to come to their aid as the market was the only means of livelihood.
